Project description:
Dwellist collaborated with Shaafi, a Netherlands resident, to design and construct his dream residence in Uthamapalayam, near Theni. The project focused on creating a comfortable home for his aging parents, a spacious 3BHK for both families, and a rental unit for long-term value. With accessibility, aesthetics, and sustainability at its core, the residence reflects Shaafi’s vision of a practical yet elegant haven.
Accessibility First
The ground floor was designed with elderly-friendly features like wide doorways, barrier-free pathways, and functional layouts. Special attention was given to ensure convenience, mobility, and daily comfort for Shaafi’s parents.
Family & Rental Living
We created a 3BHK unit to accommodate both Shaafi’s and his brother’s families. The first floor was planned as a rental unit with privacy, independence, and all essential amenities for tenants.
Sustainable Design
Natural lighting, cross ventilation, and energy-efficient features were seamlessly integrated. The result is a home that balances comfort, functionality, and environmental responsibility.
